Children's Biobliotherapy sessions in an award winning book shop!
Bibliotherapy is a creative arts therapy that involves storytelling or the reading of specific texts. It focuses on an individual's relationship to the content of books and poetry as therapy.
Who - Bibliotherapist Jenny Lewis is a Book Therapy trained, trainee counsellor, teacher and ADHD coach.
What -The 50 minute session will take place at the beautiful Tales on Moon Lane bookshop in Whitstable. During the first session the child will select a paperback fiction book (included). We will read parts of the book and discuss what this brings up for the child. Subsequent sessions will focus around the book and what the child wants to discuss.
Where - Tales on Moon Lane, 21 Canterbury Road, Whitstable.
When - After school sessions available, 50 minute sessions.
How much - 6 sessions are suggested at £40 per session (book included).


Meet Our Four-Legged Team Member
Sometimes the best support comes with four paws and a wagging tail!
Our friendly dog is available to join selected sessions for children and adults. Many people find that having a calm, affectionate dog nearby helps reduce anxiety, encourages conversation, and makes sessions feel more relaxed and enjoyable.
Whether we're sharing a story during a bibliotherapy session, exploring emotions, or working through challenges together, our canine companion can provide comfort, companionship, and a reassuring presence.
